Master Mekong Pharma<\/a>\u00a0class. This event was also the occasion to pay tribute to the book La Flore Photographique du Cambodge, the product of a lengthy collaboration between scientists of the university\u2019s phyto-chemistry laboratory and those of the Pierre Fabre Research Institute.<\/p>\nThe ceremony took place in presence of Mr M. Mam Bunheng, Cambodia\u2019s Minister of Health, the University\u2019s management and faculty, Fondation Pierre Fabre and its partners, including the AUF, the Coop\u00e9ration Fran\u00e7aise and the industrial and research laboratories that offered internships to the students of the Master Mekong Pharma.<\/p>\n
Dr Heang Rothmony, master of ceremonies, invited key figures to speak, including Mr Saphonn Vonthanak, Rector of Cambodia\u2019s University of Health Sciences, Ms B\u00e9atrice Garrette, Director General of Fondation Pierre Fabre, Dr Bruno David, co-author of the book La Flore Photographique du Cambodge and the Minister of Health.<\/p>\n
In his speech, the Minister of Health congratulated the graduates for the hard work and perseverance that allowed them to acquire sophisticated knowledge and skills in the pharmaceutical sciences field. The Honourable Minister also encouraged contemplation of their higher duty and the need to benefit students of future generations with the knowledge they gained through the master\u2019s course. \u201cYou are the pride and the future of the profession. The University is counting on you to pass on your knowledge, training future generations of pharmacists.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\nTo close the ceremony, Fondation Pierre Fabre gave all participants a copy of the book La Flore Photographique du Cambodge. This work, presented by the two co-authors present, Professor San Kaing Cheng and Dr Bruno David, is the result of an exemplary Franco-Cambodian collaboration helping to broaden and disseminate botanical knowledge.<\/p>\n<\/div>
